I am pg with my second child and for some reason I am really nervous about my ultrasound tomorrow. I am not overly worried there is anything wrong with the baby, and that is a blessing. I am more worried about finding out the sex of the baby. The thing is, I don't want to wait to find out the sex either. My husband and I are pretty sure we only want to have 2 children and this means this is the last. I feel like when I find out it's a boy or a girl that will mean I won't have the opposite one. Is this being silly? What is wrong with me?

Normal feelings. :) Very normal.

Good luck tomorrow! :)

I have a third boy coming...the ultrasound tech went over the crotch area, found the penis and said 'sorry - it's a boy' with this one...my husband and I laughed. You get what you get. I definitely do not feel deprived. :)

You're not being silly and I find nothing wrong with what you are feeling. If you don't want to know the sex of the baby, mentioned that to the ultrasound technical and they won't give you the answer. To them their main concerns is to make sure the baby is growing properly, brain, heart, legs, etc. The sex of the baby is always last.

Not silly, but do remember that the sex of the baby doesn't matter, and there should always be room in your heart and your home for one more, if that's what the good Lord wants.

Every time I'm pregnant I either hope for a boy or girl but of course when the baby is born you always find it doesn't matter. Pregnant mothers are full of all kinds of hopes and dreams, but mothers also have an amazing capacity to adapt and accept whatever God sends.

Have a wonderful pregnancy!

It's not silly. Remember what you said, that you and your husband are PRETTY sure that this is the last. I have 4 children. 17, 15, 10 and 4 1/2 mos. I said that after our 10 yr. old that I was not going to have any more then 10 yrs. later----SURPRISE!!!! My 2 older boys are from previous. Our 10 yr. old is a girl. My husband wanted a boy for his own,(he is the only one left in his family to carry on his last name) so when they told us 3 times that this baby was a girl, he hid his disappointment quite welland accepted it like a trooper. After 19 hrs. of labor, potocin, my epidural coming out and a torn sphincter muscle---guess what? Our new baby came out to be a BOY!!! So, NEVER say NEVER! And don't always believe what the ultrasound says. Definitely don't buy all one sex toys, clothes and have only one sex names picked out, because you never know what the Man upstairs has in store for you!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!

This is perfectly normal. Dont worry about anything and just try to involve yourself in some activities to divert your mind. Even I was nervous like anything for my 20 week ultrasound. And I totally understand your feelings about finding out the sex of the baby. You can't do anything for that so try to enjoy this moment.

It's not silly at all. I can totally understand you feel like this. There is nothing wrong with you. In the end you'll be happy about the results, you'll see. So "Congrats" on the baby!!!!
