Buying fish tanks online so that you need to pay shipping is a bad investment because they weigh so much, the shipping will be outrageous. Also, because of the weight and awkward size, breakage is a huge issue. It is not recommended to buy an aquarium where you have to have it shipped. Buy it locally. So, that said, we don't know where you live and cannot recommend local places, other than the above suggestions of fish groups or ebay. Also, try Craigslist. That's where I got mine. People on ebay and craigslist will not ship because of the above issues so you have to get these locally. It may take some time to find the right size for the right deal, so patience is required, but when you find it, it will be a great deal. I got my 60 gallon tank with nice wood cabinet stand for $80! I had to keeping checking for probably 4 months, but it was a great deal!

If there is a local aquarium society or fish club available; you will get the most "bang for your buck" at their auctions or swap meets. The auction season is starting now and may offer some great bargains, and the opportunity to acquire fish that you won't find in pet stores. Just one option. Good luck.
