Well it actually depends what you want to connect to your pc...

Connecting your pc to your home stereo (so the sound comes out of your stereo speakers - nice way to listen to music online) is by buying the suitable cable (dual pins), one red and one white on one side of the cable and the other should be a single pin (like a headphones insertion pin)... that one goes behind your pc's tower (where the is a headphone's sign)

Another way is by buying a suitable pc stereo set with sub... it connects the same way as any speakers (single pin insertion) where there is a headphones sign... this is in the front or the back (sometimes both)...

Hope this will help...

P.S: if your thinking of obtaining new speakers... buy good ones cause bas quality speakers messes up the sound after a couple of months (do not connect and disconnect the single pin insertion - it may cause damage to your pc's insertion point and will not connect properly which make your speakers seem useless!!)

Usually somewhere on either the front or back of the computer will be a plug for attaching the speakers. If you can not find it, check the documentation that came with the PC, or the web site of the manufacturer, for a diagram that shows where the speaker port is.

You will have to use the sound output to go to your Tuner or Aplmifier that will power the speakers. It would be good if you had a sound card that has RCA output. Otherwise you will have to use the little jack plug in with a connecter to change it to RCA jack. The computer can't push enough power to those speakers. Look at your PC speakers, even they have internal amplifier (the computer isn't powering them) they have to plug into the wall or a USB port to get power to the internal amplifier.

provided your sound card is functioning correctly, just get any pc speakers with appropriate jack and connect them to the green line-out circle in the back of the computer.

Well if you don't have a jack besides the 1/8" headphone jack that comes wiith most PCs, you need to get a sound card. Otherwise you can probably get adapters for the 1/8" headphone jack, but it probably won't sound too good.

See the plug on your speaker: it should be a 3.5mm jack with green color.
see the back of your PC, locate the green 3.5mm port, plug it in, done.
