In my travels it seemed like people could seperate American people from what our government is doing. I was still apologizing from 20 paces away everywhere I went, but didn't catch any hostility.
Only a small group of people still agree with what Bush is doing. He's not trying to get the world to love us, he's made it quite clear that he doesn't care what the world thinks. "You're either with us or against us," right? He thinks that bombing everyone will show them how tough we are and stop them from f-ing with us anymore. Of course it's exactly the opposite, we look like stubborn ignorant bullies who can't admit when we're wrong. I just hope he doesn't screw it up any more before he's out of office.
Barack the vote!

This is not directed at the writer of the question but at some of the close minded people who answered. Unfortunately, all humans on this planet are just as prejudice as Americans are. But what do you expect..... Our government, sends our troops to a country that had nothing to do with 9/11 and kills/injures thousands of innocent men, women, and beautiful children for a very questionable cause. What are they supposed to feel toward Americans? If for one instant you could put yourselves in their shoes and just imagine the terror that they have to deal with every day, you might not blame them for the hatred they do have toward us. They are being killed and abused by americans. The babies are being born with deformities bc of the uranium in the ammunition we used in the previous Irag war. The innocents that have been burned and injured in bombings cannot always get adequate healthcare because of the destruction that the US has caused there. Why wouldn't they hate us? Yeah, not everyone in the US is like that, and yeah it is more the governments fault; but that is the America they deal with every day so tell me that you guys could still be so openminded if this were happening to you and your family??!!!

Well I don't hate Kobe. However, there are a lot of idiots out there who seem to think he has done something worthy of being considered an all-time great. There seems to be a trend that these people are young, haven't seen much basketball, and don't know much about the game.

Despite other answers, I believe hannibal has a valid and fair question. The focus on the "everybody" to dispute this question reflects an inability to intelligently debate his point or use it favorably. Being an American myself and never traveled outside the USA in my entire life greatly reduces my ability to defend our international policies and greatly increases my chances of daring to even do so at this point. I agree with Keeks question to Americans and relate to Ray's as well since that is part of my social mindset. However, I'm not about to pass it off as the fault of "our government not us citizens" because as citizens in the USA, we ARE the government. If we can't take a punch, then we shouldn't be dropping bombs to begin with people.

I, as an American, believe you, but it is not the fault of the majority of the common folks like me. It is the fault of 9/11 and George Bush.
Right now we could care less about being loved, we care mor about who will next fly a plane into a building, detonate a dirty bomb, sneak into our country illegaly and make money and not pay taxes. It seems everyone wants a piece of us for some reason. Well, were just covering our asss.

Don't blame the American citizens, blame the government that does whatever it wants regardless of what its citizens think. We can't control the decisions that are made, so stop blaming the entire country. Doing so makes you sound very ignorant. Besides, who are you to make the assumption that "everybody" hates us? It sounds like you do, but you don't represent "everybody" anymore than I do.

And you have asked everybody on this planet how they feel about Americans? I think not you are just voicing your own opinion.

Considering that I didn't vote for the current president, and that I have absolutely NO control over who America bombs (I am similar to many many Americans), I would say that whatever is wrong with us are the same things that are wrong with you.
