You can. I have. Just go to google images and type "moon far side" in the search box. Or see the source, where I have already done that for you. Note that it is properly called the FAR side and not the dark side. That may be why you have been having trouble finding the images.

At new moon you are looking at the dark side of the moon. The dark side of the moon is not the same as the "back" side of the moon, the side that faces away from earth. Since the "dark" side of the moon faces away from the sun it is not illuminated so is not easily photographed.

Because it's dark, any photos would be completely black.

Try googling "far side of the moon" instead. The moon does rotate as it orbits, so different sides become illuminated by the sun.

Perhaps because it doesn't exist?

There is no "dark side of the moon". The sun rises and sets at all locations, just like on Earth.

The *far* side is the one we never see from Earth.
