These are extremists, not true Christians. Extremism is never good.
Example: "Religion of Peace' followers flying planes into buildings and recruiting children to be strapped up with explosives for bombing missions. Talk about vicious.

If your speaking on the "Holy War" currently taking place I believe it is because so many people have there own interpretation of the bible. One sees your body is a holy temple to mean this is the vessel in which I carry the spirit as Christ while others see ashes to ashes dust to dust. By reading the bible without the influences of Churches are Temples you form your own personal relationship with God but when you become part of and organized religion you become part of one faith one belief leaving no room for others to express their relationship with God. God does not say that he is only Present in groups He says where there are those to glorify his name He will be. Of course not in these exact words. That's just my opinion.

Jefferson was not the first person to consider Paul as the "first perverter of the teachings of Jesus". To learn more about it, read "The Mythmaker: Paul and the Invention of Christianity" by Hyam Maccoby.

I don't feel it is the words of Jesus. They seem to be concentrating most on the Old Testament. Which is incredibly brutal.

I wish I knew but dont forget we dont know the words of Jesus - the bible was written by his followers after his death and later translated into 100's of languages.

It's when right-wing nuts take things to the extreme, or interpolate their own beliefs into teachings.
