My husband and I don't want to own a house. While we both have the skills to keep a house in good condition, we have better (and far more fun) things to do with our time. We may buy a condo someday, but won't now with housing costs being so high (artificially high, by the way) ... until then, we LOVE our apartment. Rents in our city start at $900 for a one bedroom. We pay $675 for our one bedroom ... and when we move, we have found a good two bedroom for $700 in the new city and state we'll be moving to.

I own a house. On a lake. Three bedrooms, walk out basement, big yard, 2 car garage with a 2 car car port attached. The only thing I wish is that the rooms were a little bigger. And that we had a coat closet.

Depends on what you can afford. Look up the "house poor" concept. Buy enough house to be comfortable, but too much to have you spending all your income on mortgage, taxes, bills and HOA fees and such. That said, my wife and I live in a four bedroom 2.5 bath, 2-story home.

I would love to own a big house with lots of bedrooms so that family can come to stay. Lots of garden to it and out in the countryside. Well I can dream can't I?

Could do with 5 beds, two baths, kitchen/diner and a living room. Currently have a 3 bed maisonette and fantasise about buying the downstairs property and combining them together to make my dream home!!

well i want 4 kids but if i stay with the guy im with srewin right now we'll probably get a 3 bedroom house for his daughter and our unborn child. he wants no more than just 2 kids.

it's just me and my daughter so we only need a 3 bedroom, 2 bath...average size...the bigger the house the more there is to clean lol

Though I prefer huge houses, we just settled for a two-bedroom farm house. Oh, well; will just have to 'down-size'!
