Mishandles Turkey? That isn't her place or her job or,for that matter what she is doing. The only mishandling of Turkey has been by our government's interventionist foreign policy. Because Turkey was once seen as a useful Cold War ally, the U.S. has since ( 15 years after the end of the Cold War!!!)continued to turn a blind eye to everything Turkey hs done in the past and continues to do in the present. Turkey attacked a staunch ally,Greece and we did nothing. They have pursued their own agenda with respect to the Kurds and will continue to do so and care nothing for what we want on this issue. They take our arms and hand outs and pursue their own policies. Great ally!!But who is smarter and who is stupider? Pelosi and the other Dems AND at least 8 Republicans were doing their job. This is something that has been promised over and over again to Armenian AMERICANS!!by both Dems and Reps, including G.W. Bush in a letter to the Armenian community when he wanted their campaign contributions. I am not supporting any Dem candidate so this is not a partisan defense of Pelosi. I read the link and didn't see anything that would support a statement to the effect that Dems are abandoning Pelosi.

Pelosi is incompetent.
Hillary is inexperienced.
Both them are arrogant enough that they think they can say or do anything they want to get the attention of their left-wing lunatic fringe.
Neither of them have enough presence of mind to understand that their positions of power have been granted them to do everything possible to strengthen and protect the United States of America.
They are an embarrassment to women, and they will set women's rights back 20 years when men start saying "this is what happens when you put a woman in charge!"

Apparently, Ronald Reagan wanted to destroy our relations, too. (California has a LOT of Armenians who survived and their descendants - 7 million)
""Armenian-Americans have been pushing for passage of similar proposals for years. Ronald Reagan, a Californian, was the only president to publicly call the killings genocide. Others have avoided the term out of concern for Turkey's sensitivities.""

just making good on ONE of George W Bush's champaign promises
FLIP
when Bush was running for president in 2000, he wrote a letter to the Armenian National Committee affirming that the Armenians were “subjected to a genocidal campaign.” He promised that if “elected president,” he would make sure that the United States “properly recognizes” the tragedy. From his letter:
The twentieth century was marred by wars of unimaginable brutality, mass murder and genocide. History records that the Armenians were the first people of the last century to have endured these cruelties. The Armenians were subjected to a genocidal campaign that defies comprehension and commands all decent people to remember and acknowledge the facts and lessons of an awful crime in a century of bloody crimes against humanity. If elected President, I would ensure that our nation properly recognizes the tragic suffering of the Armenian people.
FLOP
I urge members to oppose the Armenian genocide resolution now being considered by the House Foreign Affairs Committee. We all deeply regret the tragic suffering of the Armenian people that began in 1915. This resolution is not the right response to these historic mass killings, and its passage would do great harm to our relations with a key ally in NATO and in the global war on terror.
FLIP
"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him." G.W. Bush, 9/13/01
Washington Post, 9/17/01, UPI: Bush said he wants accused terrorist leader Osama bin Laden "dead or alive.” “I want justice...There's an old poster out West, as I recall, that said, 'Wanted: Dead or Alive,'"- G.W. Bush, 9/17/01, UPI
AP, 12/14/01: President Bush pledged anew Friday that Osama bin Laden will be taken "dead or alive."
FLOP:
Capturing OBL no longer a priority:
G.W. Bush, 3/13/02: I don't know where Bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
