YES!

This very question is both shallow and deep. It seems shallow that, at first instance, it seems like a question I would not bother to answer. And here I am answering this now, trying to search first for the intent of the question and, secondly, analyzing how shallow can actually be deep. I guess that when a seemingly inane question makes people stop and think, then that is shallow and deep at the same time.

Sweetie, you are not shallow to begin with. If you're referring to your one-liners, brevity is not the same as being shallow. Oftentimes, the depth and profoundness of your answers is evident only to those who really take the time to read and understand. It's not the length nor the number of words. It's the quality of the chosen words and the overall
essence of your statement that makes you deep. And you are!!!

Yes, you can. If it is character you mean, a person can be both shallow and deep. Like a fox - he can be wily and menacing but, if he wants to, he can also be unobtrusive and hiding. And if you mean emotions, yes, one can also be shallow and deep with his affections. Intentions can also be shallow and deep - like a man towards a woman, whether his intentions are honorable or not.

If your eyes can seem stern while your mind giggles on,
If your lips can still smile while your heart is all torn,
If you pose dumb and glum, just a secret to keep,
You will seem rather shallow, but in real be deep !
:-))
