You really have to check the labor laws in your area. Most companies can make changes in paid or unpaid breads depending on the labor laws in their area. Many companies have 15 minute unpaid breaks for the first four hours of work, then an additional one half hour paid meal break after 6 hours of work. I hope that you are getting more than one break during a 12 hour shift. You can look up the labor laws in your area by going onto the your state site on line. Look for a listing titled labor laws for the state of.......(put your states name here.) Good luck, I hope you can find the answers that you need. You may want to discuss this with your immediate supervisor as well.

What`s a lunch break?I do not get paid for lunch breaks so i do not take them.I can eat while i`m working so why stop.I would not complain about not getting paid.The company is not making money when your on lunch so why should get paid.Why do people want something for nothing.Would you be happy if called a plumber to fix your sink and came in and had his lunch break and billed you for the full time he was there.

Nope. I work 8 to 5. 9 hours - 1 hour for lunch. I get paid for 8 hours.

No. I work for the government so I don't get paid for lunch but I do get paid well for my job so I would never complain.

No, its ridiculous would they rather we didnt eat and fainted then had to go home anyway? Actually it wouldnt matter I dont get sick pay either !
