Go to the Doctor and tell them your problem. He may recommend an Honorable Discharge or you may get a Medical Discharge and possible Disability with it at a small rate, but still it's something to consider when you see your doctor. You can discuss this with him. He may also give you a profile for your foot which would include no running or pt, no strenuous walking and stay on the medication. This way you can stay in the military and pursue your career, but the odds are in your favor of discharge once you have covered all the steps.
