It's Tom Brady. He has so many weapons on his side this year. If he keeps up his pace he will have 56 touchdowns and well over 5,000 yards passing and he will own the record for the best passer rating which is currently held by Peyton Manning. We knew how valuable Brady was last year when he had no good receivers and still lead them to the AFC Championship game. This year Brady is showing how deadly he can be with very good receivers and a good offensive line.

While everyone is insisting it will be Tom Brady, I have to feel differently... we arent even at the mid-way point in the season. We've got more than another half of football to go! Anything could happen. Sure, the Patriots warrant no sign of slowing down, but this isnt the first time we've seen them start 6 - 0. What if Bellicheck decides to become a more conserved, cautious offense, and they begin to run the ball more? Then, in the second half, Lawrence Maroney could become more of an MVP candidate than Brady. Do I think that'll happen? Not likely... But other candidates will rise as Brady's numbers fall.
All in all, given the term "most valuable", I'd have to go with a few candidates. Tony Romo has taken Cowboys football back to their glory days, and is the first succesful quarterback they've had in a while. Adrian Peterson is the offense for the Minnesota Vikings. Whether or not they are blocking for him, he will run the ball, and pile up huge numbers. And ofcourse... with every year... we always have to consider Peyton Manning as a threat to take it.

Tom Brady will break Peyton Manning's TD record at this rate and become the MVP....nobody else is on any kind of pace with him right now to even be considered. Thumbs down if you want, but come time to find a league MVP, you'll probably be wrong.

Brady is the consensus choice of course. But, if i had to pick anyone other than him it would be Tony Romo. Yes he had 1 bad game but he is a young QB and has ALOT of confidence. This guy is a Tom Brady in the making with more confidence as a young guy and the work ethic of an oxen. Very coachable player that is already an MVP type QB.

Tom Brady is the front runner and if he continues to put up big numbers and the Pats win games he will win it. I think it will be an overdue opportunity to recognize the playoff and super bowl golden boy for his regular season achievements. If the bottom falls out and they don't win 12 to 16 games then maybe it's Peyton Manning's chance to repeat. If the Packers were to continue their unlikely run maybe Brett Favre gets a "going away" MVP trophy.
With 10 games left Brady is the favorite but it will be tough for him to maintain the pace he's on. If he does he might not only have the greatest regular season of anyone this year, but the greatest regular season for any QB ever.

Tom Brady, unless something happens to him.
If his current trends continue through out the season, he will break a passing record, probably go 16 - 0, and have a nice new piece of jewelry!
