I'm doing a paper on incentives and recognition as motivation for sales people. I'd like to find out what are the types or forms of incentives and recognition a sales person knows. So, there should a list under incentives such as monetary, tangible merchandises, trips, compensation, and the likes. And for recognition, probably promotion, awards, trophies, certifivates, and the likes. But, I'd like to approach it as objectively as possible. Can anyone help? Thanks.

A pat on the back with a few words of appreciation cannot be replaced by any tangible incentives that you have mentioned!
