I have a few but they don't have anything left to decorate them with. My fiance and I bought the ones that have a basic card with a snowman and then you decorate the rest of the card. It turned out really well and everyone seemed to enjoy our unique snow men. LOL. This year I'd really like to do a Christmas photo and make them into cards..

How would you know they were last year's cards if they'd never been used before? I think you'd have to be a very picky person to bother about a Christmas card. It's the thought that someone wants to send you one that counts, surely. I've always got some left over every January because I buy too many in case I forget anyone - so I just add to what I've got each year and send them out. I have no idea how old some of my cards are.

Yes. A box of 24 Christmas cards usually lasts me two years. They normally have six different cards with four of each so I don't end up sending the same exact cards as last year. I'm going to use the leftovers from last year for this year too and then buy a new box next year. I buy the more expensive cards because they are more thoughtful.

Oh, I have some from last year, the year after that...and the year after that... I find that if you buy in bulk, you have an opportunity to use the left overs, because Christmas cards are usually timeless. There's really no such thing as an outdated Christmas card as long as there is no particular pop-culture reference. Still, I find myself conflicted sometimes, because Hallmark keeps coming out with the new Thomas Kincade Christmas cards which are the prettiest, if you ask me. Every year they get better and better, so I never stop buying Christmas cards every year.

Oh yes and from other years. I can never find them once I bring them home.
This year THIS YEAR I bought the birthday cards for December family members and, wait for it and the Christmas cards. I even wrote the special messages on the cards and addressed the envelopes.
But I do this every year...YET I have kept these close by so know where they are.
WOW isnt this good, success this year.

I always have leftover Christmas cards. No matter how many times I count who I need to send cards to, I inevitably end up with more cards than I need.
I pack them away with the Christmas decorations, and if they have survived the year in the cupboard under the stairs, I use them.

I also have Christmas cards left over from last year.
It really doesn't matter to me. I will often purchase extra cards which allows me to post Christmas cards overseas to beat the rush the following year.

I always buy cards after Christmas usually 50 - 75% off and put them up for the next year. Any left overs I gave to my little nieces to hand out. They really enjoy this!

last year...? oh that is an understatement. i still have here greeting cards of more than two decades ago. plenty of them. still good as new. why they were not sent, nor signed at all? they were intended for my first love, i bought them all on our first christmas as sweethearts, looking forward for all the christmases we're going to spend through the years. needless to say, it didn't happen. and for whatever reasons i cannot get myself into giving any of those cards to anyone that followed. (sigh... just reminiscing..)
