With all due respect, I certainly appreciate that you've come here, but I'm always baffled by the fact that so many don't go more direct to the better source. Using the WWW, with the browser box and specific Key words, you'll find Hundreds of sites defining every imaginable WOOD Joint; ane very likely the process involved in creating them.

I live in New York. Popular brands are Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, Juicy Couture, Wet Seal, Forever 21, Victoria's Secret, and more.

Wood Magazine did a review of the various brands in their Feb/Mar 2006 issue. You should be able to find a copy at your local library or online at their website.

If you're looking for name brands, you can't go wrong with a Rockwell/Delta 6" or 8" for a small or home shop. I own a 6" Grizzly, and love it. Of course, Rigid brand is sold through Home Depot. Or there's Sunhill, General or Jet.
