I am trying to print a picture (in black and white) and when I print it to a certain printer it leaves a ghost image of the pic. But when I had about 5 other people print the same picture from their computers but to the same printer, they all got different results. All had the ghost image but in diffferent shades. some were darker then others and some were lighter. Please Help

Can you print to file to see if the output file still has the same "ghosting"? You could install PDFCreator to output a PDF version or if your application natively outputs JPG, TIFF, BMP, or another image format, use one of them. If you really want to get creative on the output, try printing to an EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) and use an application like GhostScript to view or convert to another format.

I'm guessing the printer needs to run through a clean cycle but doesn't hurt to check the image.

First you fail to mention type of printer, but I assume laser.
Second you fail to mention make and model : Can't guess this.

If the ghost occurs form all PCs you are likely looking at a failing OPC drum (assuming a mono printer) or toner cartridge if it's an "all in one cartridge system" like the HPs use.

If a "Colour laser" could also be failing transfer belt if that's the format they are using.

Or it could be failing fuser. If you can "feel" the print raised from paper surface this is the most likely culprit

The problem with Black and White pictures is that really they are not! They are made up of very intense mixture of colours. Drop a drip of 'black' ink onto a wet white tile and you will see the effect.
To get really good black and white you need to use pigment inks rather than dye.
Incidentally 'black' print and images fade badly for dye printers.
