Wifi will run 100metres in free air... and coincidentally ethernet will run 100m in a single span from network device to network device.

If the houses are closer than 100m together (that's 110 yards...) then you run the DSL into one house, run an ethernet from that house to the next house into a switch, run a wire from that on to the netx house... and so on.

Or if it's over 100m, go for either an intermediate repeater (means running power to the repeater between the houses... may not be practical) or use a different carrier. You can run fibre optic networking for much further as a single run, so you'd have to put 'extenders' into the properties to convert the LAN signal from ethernet to a fibre signal and back again. This is expensive.

Or you could have a look at the 'upped spec' wifi gear that Linksys sells... with supposedly 200M range in clear air.

Or you're into providing expensive long haul wifi links... or microwave links. Or re-encode your LAN onto a private line you run between your properties. None of them are cheap options.

You can't. There's only a certain amount of distance that the service can run, usually between 18,000 and 22,000 feet from a DSLAM, and your street is probably at the end and you're just on the wrong side.

You could ask a neighbor to go wireless and pick up half his tab. He could broadcast the signal from his house and you could put a repeater in your house to pick up and rebroadcast the signal all over yours.
