Congratulations on both your weight loss and your pregnancy!
Your doctor will probably tell you to keep your weight gain to about 15 pounds (mine did). As long as you eat healthy and get some exercise you should be fine. That's pretty much what I did, and now I'm 28 weeks and 1.5 pounds above my prepregnancy weight. I lost weight in the beginning (not by dieting, just by eating healthier I guess). Just watch what you eat, which you're probably used to doing since you've already lost so much weight.
Good luck!

Congrats on your weight loss, (and the baby!) that's great!
You really probably will not gain much during the pregnancy. Just keep eating balanced meals & exercizing. Some people that are overweight don't gain at all, but up to 15 pounds or so wouldn't be the end of the world either.
I know you're worried about the baby being healthy, and you don't want to backtrack on your weight loss either. Talk to your Dr. about what is a healthy amount for you. Once the baby is born you can start losing again and if you breastfeed it will probably come off even faster!
All the best, enjoy your pregnancy and baby!

I know how you feel, when I became pregnant I recently lost 40 pounds, and then I found out that I was pregnant. One thing that you can do is to exercise regularly. I actually found it very hard to exercise because I have SPD (Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction), and it is very uncomfortable, so by exercising you can probally avoid this. Another thing is to limit your sodium, because being overweight, your chances of high blood pressure is greater.
So exercise, watch what you eat, but don't diet. Don't take that "eating for 2" saying that you have to eat twice as much, it is wrong, you only need about an additional 300 calories a day.
Good Luck

It is really, really hard. Instead of maintaining your weight, your goal should be no more than 15lbs. I didn't gain any weight at all for a very long time, but I am now 7 months and have gained about 10lbs. I really thought I was going to get lucky. Of course, eat when you are hungry, but try not to eat unhealthy snacks and drink sugary drinks. Try to walk everyday or at least every other day for 30 minutes+ (even in 10 minute intervals.. it has been proven that it doesn't make a difference if you take a break in between each 10 minute period). Just remember that at least a few pounds will be water weight.. mine fluctuates within 5lbs. Try from the very beginning to stay active.. it will help, but don't expect to not have a hard time getting around in the later months. Just take breaks when you need to.. listen to your body.. and good luck!

i am 26 weeks pregnant and started at 180 i am now 185 and my doc says that is fine as i am overweight, they dont expect overweight people to gain the 30 lbs actually they hightly recomend not to, just eat very healthy take your vitamins and you can do minimal exercise as long as your doc oks it. I take my 1 1/2 year old for a walk everyday, that way i ONLY gain weight for my baby and maintain a healthy weight to have him. Just dont give in to all of your cravings thats where you can get lost, like my first pregnancy all i wanted was pizza i gave in and went from 140 to 200.....

I am a plus size woman as well and am currently 19 weeks pregnant. So far I have actually lost 2 pounds and my doctor is completely fine with it. She says as long as the baby continues to grow, we are good. Like everyone else said, do not diet. Just eat what you want and try to stay active.
I swore I had gained weight in that first trimester as it always seemed like I was eating. But apparently that's what the baby needed because that's when I lost that first pound...lol.
Also, Congrats on the 60lb weight loss and the baby!!!

Being chubby, utilising medications...the ones are each critical disorders. Being chubby can reason plenty of well being disorders. And I do not even must inform you why medications are dangerous, you must already recognize. As for buying pregnant. Yes regularly it occurs, however YOU made the option to have intercourse, and everytime you might have intercourse you're making the option to have a youngster(on account that there may be continuously that likelihood of having pregnant). I could endorse to any extent further utilising extra safety, if you have not already. Also, speak in your health practitioner approximately the results the medications may have in your child. That is the one option to real uncover out the reply. And while you say that you simply should not have a drug situation, you simply use pot and cocaine "regularly". If you utilize it in any respect that's a situation. I could endorse speaking in your health practitioner after which getting a few form of aid....organization, counselor, and so on. There are plenty of them loose at fee. You simply must seek round on your field. You health practitioner will even have a few strategies as to in which you pass, and certainly he'll have a meal plan for you so you'll be able to drop the kilos and come to be fitter. And its no longer that you simply have got to be watching like a few stick insect, you simply have got to get right down to a weight that's HEALTHY for you and your child. Of path that is all simply my opinion. You can take it or go away it. I desire the whole thing works out for you and your child.

maintain it? no, the baby, amniotic water, breast fulfillment, more blood in the body, ect, will cause a few pounds wnad it will be ok. Do not diet!!! Drink milke, take the vitamins, and keep a steady supply of liquids on hand for constipation. Eat protein, and use the dr. recommended diet for you and u will be on a 15 pound gain limit. It isn't baby gain,. it is weight ( fat) gain, so do not be alarmed or insulted when he does this. Also, the best book I can recommend to u, if u were my daughter, that is,is " What to expect when you are ecpecting.
