Garth! I have seen him in concert 3 times and i think he is such an amazing performer.

As for his songs, i like the lyrics and how eclectic they are...some love songs, some fun drinking songs, goofy/crazy songs...and his voice too...on a good lovesong, its breathtaking

It is apparent that some use the term legend very loosely. Garth is a nobody when compared to the real legends like Hank Williams,Lefty Frizzell,Merle Haggard,George Jones,Ray Price,Willie Nelson, among others. Toby Keith is trying hard to be a legend but his star will fade long before he even gets close. George Strait does some good songs and has been in the business awhile but if you have ever seen him in concert then you would have to say he adds no energy to his shows. He just sits on a stool and sings with no real performance at all.

I can live without Garth Brooks but I like both George Strait and Toby Keith. I am prejudice because I am a huge Toby Keith fan and George and Toby are two entirely different vocalists and entertainers. I would pick Toby and unfortunately most of his music that hits the air are his rowdy or bus songs and don't do justice to his overall vocal abilty for the general public. Unless you were a fan and really aware of his varied music you might not know how good he actually is but as I said, I am biased. I listen to both of them but I choose Toby. A good example are his song "White Rose" and "Burning Moonlight" off his newest album "Big Dog Daddy"which you will never hear on the radio but I love it and I think he is returning to his earlier roots with this one.

My favorite is George Strait. Has been since he started recording. I never cared for Garth Brooks. He seems like a "put on" to me. When he's speaking to an interviewer he always talks so low and acts so shy. Toby is OK but George is definately my favorite.

George Strait is in my book better than Toby, and Garth, He is a seasoned veteran who has been in this industry for nearly 30yrs. He has paid his due's and takes a back seat to no one. Even Garth and Toby Consider George Strait their Idol.
