About 17 or 18, even then some girls might not be ready for sex. When they feel comfortable (as long as its after 17 lol)
Edit, I agree with Cutemum, when they are married is better. Of course in reality, that doesn't happen often!

I was 18 and married so if I had a little one to worry about these days, I would be bald. I know they definitely should be old enough to realize the circumstances and the risk involved. They defineitley should be mentally mature and out of school and on thier own.

18!! here in south africa there were discussions a while ago about wether to lower the consent age to 12!!! i'm sorry but that is complete bullsh*t!!! what child under the age of 18, let alone 12, is mature enough to make a decision like that??!

I lost my virginity 2 months before I turned 16. It wasn't all that. I didn't have sex again for a year and a half, the guy swore I was a virgin.

i was 16 which is legal but it depends on the levels of maturety!! the first person i slept with i married so i dont regret it and i didnt get pregnant lol!! whatever the law says i reckon is prob bout right x

I was 16 and I wish I would have waited until 18. I think I would have been much more prepared for the aftermath that is sex.
