Answer: Gore finally found its nitch in life. Failed at self promoting "bad language" in Rock...The chicken-stuff was afraid to challenge Rap as he is a race coward! Moved on to "Junk Science" Both worthless trash agendas, promoted by elitist White Trash!

I dunno...it's hard to defend 'vile' lyrics...I really don't know anyone who does, but then I guess there's folks that defend child porn too. Tipper Gore actually played in a rock and roll band and certainly had the right to be upset by words, deeds and actions that degraded the world of popular music. Her take on it was that record companies should at the very least put a warning label on the cover to alert parents that there was content that by basic community standards was not particularly appropriate for kids. There was no 'ban' effort involved...just a small label...... See how easy that is?

The organization Tipper helped found was the PMRC (Parents Music Resource Center). Megadeth's song "Hook In Mouth" from 1988 is about the PMRC.
The PMRC talked about labeling and censoring explicit music. The threat of censorship naturally freaked a lot of people out. Ended up the RIAA agreed to put the "Parental Advisory: Explicit Lyrics" stickers on albums with bad words.

You'd think their attempts at censorship and anti "family values" lyrics would make them look good in Conservatives' eyes. Instead, they get ragged for it. Which just goes to prove...the only real stand conservatives take is the opposite of whatever a Clinton, Gore or Kerry says. Bill Clinton could claim he found Jesus, and scores of right-wingers would join the Hare Krishnas the very next day.
