Possibly, under the ruling of "insubordination". However, if the company has fairly well-established HR guidelines, you may be able to fight the firing if the company's disciplinary policy wasn't followed (typically verbal warning, written warning, termination). This is based on the idea that you haven't been disciplined (formally) by the company previously. It would also be important to have someone "witness" the event in case you do choose to make an issue of it. Otherwise, good luck, LOL...

I would say you wont be getting a raise and will have a bullseye on your back during layoffs and performance reviews.
I would not suggest it, even if this person deserves it. Send him a nasty email via an account you JUST MADE and DO NOT tell anyone it was you. Oh .. also .. DO NOT send it from work, even if you use a yahoo account. Admins can track it to you.

Depends on how close you are with your boss and if you really mean it or not. If you hate your boss and do it, then yeah, you probably will get fired.
