My friend is having the same problem and I logged on to find some answers for her.

I'll share with you what I found out,

Things that I never knew about getting pregnant.

a, Too much vitamin C dries up the cervical fluid, so have some but don't over do it.

b, Lubricant can affect, and maybe lessen the effectiveness of the man's sperm. Alternative is use egg white, very natural and won't hinder anything!!

c, Laughter reduces stress, you are probably getting stressed about not getting pregnant!!. Try not too, even half an hour of laughter a day helps. Put on a comedy or just have a chat with a friend or your man and laugh your asses off.

d, Eating the wrong type of fish, Avoid fish high in mercury such as; tuna (even tinned), shark, white snapper, mackerel, marlin. Mercury gets stored in your blood stream and can then be passed to the unborn baby! But don't cut out fish in general because it is loaded with vitamin D and Omega fatty acids which are important a good diet. Such as; salmon, rainbow trout and canned mackerel (low levels of mercury but high in healthy fats.

Hope all of this helps with what not to do.

All the best, lol.

And happy practising

Sometimes the biggest barrier to falling pregnant is trying too hard.
Depending on how long you have been trying, you could consider fertility tests for both yourself and your husband. You have already had a child but that does not preclude the possibility that your fertility levels have dropped. Also some women ovulate over a very short period of time - and you may not be 'hitting it'. I have heard that you can now buy a testing kit to check for fertility times, so you could try that first before going to the doctor for further testing.
Relax, and best of luck!

Stop trying... Time after time, once the stress and pressure of trying to get pregnant are taken away, and you begin having sex for fun again, you will become pregnant. I have an 8 yr old, 6 yr old, and 3 yr old, all conceived while I was using some type of birth control (In other words, I'm very fertile). I had my last depo shot in May of 2006 because my fiancee and I decided we wanted a baby. (My other 3 are my ex-husband's). It took until April of 2007 to conceive, and we were trying at least once a day until February, then we pretty much gave up, and focused on other things, then, one day, boom... BABY! YAY! Good Luck!

Keep trying. Obviously you are able to concieve as you have a child already, but your husband may have a problem. If after a year of trying you are still not pregant I would go to your Doc and ask for some advice about fertility testing.

Okay well do you know when you are ovulating? If so then dont have sex well dont let your husband get off at all not by himself or with you for that month until your next ovulation period that was his sperm count can add up and then try the whole time you are ovulating and make sure you dont get right up letting it all come right back out either. I know its graphic but it works. :) Good Luck I understand the situation myself.

If you are under 35 and have been trying for a year then you should both go to a fertility specialist and be checked out.

If you've been trying for a year, it's time to see a doctor. If it's been less than that, you'll want to start charting your fertility so that you know when you're most likely to conceive. Try looking here for guidance:
http://babymed.com/
or do a search for "trying to conceive"- you'll find all sorts of information.

Good luck

I had the exact same situation happen.Be patient if you get stressed out it will get worse.Anyway are you seeing your OB about this yet?You need to tell her how long you have been trying etc..Those home ovulation kits are nice if you are ovulating normally,I was not.So my OB put me on clomid to make me ovulate normally.Babies come on God's timing, don't give up!

In most cases, it is the male who is unfertile. You need to get a referral from you family Dr. or Ob. to see infertility specialist.

Maybe the problem is not yours, but his. He needs to get checked out at the doctor's too. There are, as others have suggested, workable alternatives; consider them after both of you have been checked out medically.
