Well, right now, the country isn't quite perfect. It's not like it's extremely horrible... I mean, the citizens have plenty of food, freedom, many oppurtunities to make money, diverse cultures... But I do know that it could be better. Especially the government. While the living oppurtunities are good, the people behind it all, are... not. Whatever though, elections are coming soon enough... 8 years of a bad president are a small dent in history. America can improve. It will never be perfect, but it can improve.

Hope this helps!

It may sound strange coming from a British resident, but part of being anti-american is knowing what your country is about. Being anti-anything doesn't necesserally mean you are completely against a particular entity per se, rather you know what you're protesting can be performing better. By being anti-american, you are making a stand for your country because you know your founding fathers would never have liked to see America as it is today. While modern America may be somewhat objectable to the populous, it takes a true patriot to accept criticism of their country.

To elaborate on this matter, I'll share my opinion on what I think of people who come to my country only to complain about it. I simply let them rattle on about how bad a state the country is, and then out of nowhere I say "And I'll defend to the day I die the right for you to speak against this country." It's the same if they're British too, only I dare them to go live in another country for a year, then come back to tell me how much they still hate this country. People do not know how good they have it here, and it's the same with America.

I like America's history. I feel proud that this is known as the New World, how we worked so hard to break away from the British, how we were the first to say, "all men are created equal." Although we don't always keep to that, at least the Founding Fathers made an attempt to guarantee us individual rights and liberty!

But I love America the most for its ethnic diversity! <3 Our country is populated by so many different races, we all eventually get exposed to different cultures and traditions. I think that helps us work with our open-mindedness with accepting other people who are slightly different. I remember reading this in my history textbook, "What is America? ....America is a new man."

No, because that would mean being against myself. Am I against some of the US policies...yes. Do I think the USA can be wrong...yes. Can the US change to be better...yes. Will the US change to be better..yes. It will always have growing pains because each generation of people will have to face different problems other generations have not had to face as the world changes. But each change will bring new learning and the US will continue to grow and understand its flaws. Like any country and any group of people there is a pendulum which swings from left to right and back. Each swing brings with it a bit of moving backwards, then progressing, then moving backwards, and then progressing again. With each swing new things are learned and the USA experiences growing pains...and it hurts.

Well no, but I am American. However I do agree with some answerers here that say they are not anti-American, but anti-some of our current policies & leadership. And most Americans, including me, have great senses of humor but those who blame and poke fun at Americans just for being American need to learn some decency like their brothers and sisters...and put the blame where it belongs - in our government.

No. Of the people that live in America only Liberals and Hollywood celebrities are Anti-American.

Funny how these celebrities love the ridiculous amounts of money they make playing their stupid little roles, or singing their stupid songs, only in America, yet hate the country in general. Wonder if Streisand, Fonda, Pelosi, Springsteen or any of these wipes would be better off in Russia, China, or Syria.
