I was told that harassment has 90 days and 500$ fine and misuse has up to 3 years in prison. I was also told that an attorney can get the second charge dropped to harassment, since I have no prior record at all and I am 29 what do you think the chances of me spending time in prison will be? Will there be a chance they give me probation?

The state's attorney may place your case on the inactive or stet docket where as long as you cause no more trouble for 1 year, the state drops the case. There will be conditions for your stet like no contact with victim(s) and possibly anger management classes. If there is no evidence, the state may nol pros or decline to prosecute your case. There will be no prison or jail time to worry about and that remains your attorney's problem not this forum's.

If you have no priors u will get only probation.Thats considering that it was only telephone harassment.I am a resident of md,and i was charched with telephone harassment 2 yrs ago.I got a pbj for 2 yrs.AND i did it alone, didnt need an attorney.
