I accidentally posted that i know that earth resides within the milky way galaxy. But i'd like to know where our galaxy is relative to other galaxies.

It's pretty hard to look at yourself without going outside of where you are.
You are on the earth looking out,you can see the sun and other planets, but you are also inside an area of the milky and there is no way to get out and look back at it.

The milky way is the galaxy that the earth's solar system resides in. They are not one in the same.

The Milky Way is not Earth's solar syatem, it is the name of the galaxy we are in. Neither one of them lends itself to being labelled in a view of the sky. The Milky Way runs in a band around the entire sky, and the planets in Earth's solar system move around the sky, requiring realtime updates.

ok regardless of you do do no longer inspect the sunlight. this is soo blinding and its no longer something you may desire to be gazing. Who eeds google sky once you are able to step out interior the day and se the megastar (sunlight) i do no longer think of our photograph voltaic device has a attractiveness yet our galaxy does. we are interior the milky-way galaxy and pu galaxy is wide-unfold because of the fact the spiral galaxy. it rather is how its shapes like. i wish this helped.
