I really like the name Kahlan for a girl but having trouble finding a middle name that works. Last name is Burgess. All suggestions welcome.

the Kah would be pronounced like car so the name would sound more like Carlan. Should I change the spelling? Do you think she would spend her life correcting the pronunciation? I just like the spelling Kahlan.

try looking into family history to find a good middle name...grammas middle name even great great great grandpas first or middle.
samantha would be a cute one if fam doesn't work

I prefer Carlan for spelling and it is easier but if you like Kahlan then go with that.

Hope it helps i think the middle name should be simple it will have a ring to it, and the middle name might pop out once in awhile instead of being hidden on the birth certificate..

The spelling is a little weird. My name is also spelled differently, as a kid it annoyed me. But now as an adult, when someone spells my name correctly, it's nice. Like they've taken notice and care enough to get it right. Having to constantly correct people is very annoying though. Beautiful name.

Hmm go french maybe russian like Anastacia or whatever have fun choosing just remember it's your child here who's at stake. Maybe chaning the spelling of kahlan to Kaylan/ Kaelan etc,. it will be easier to add a middle name.
