Whats for dinner? What are we doing this weekend? How much money do we have left in the account? Did you feed the cat? Do you want to play some Halo3? How is work going? Read for sex yet? Why are our families so weird?
I would say we talk about each of those at least once a week, some more then others.

The same thing you will talk to friend about. Your spouse should be like your best friend and know everything about you. There are just so many stories about growing up you can tell them before they repeat. So you talk about everything and anything
Memories from dating
Current events
The kids if you have any
What happened at work or at home
How they feel about X or Y
Something that happened with your friend
That movie you saw together
That movie you caught while you couldn't sleep the other night
Why you couldn't sleep the other night.
And the list goes on and on

We talk about our kids, what we are going to do later, or tomorrow, what we did last night, about different people in our lives and what is going on in their lives and how we feel about that, we may be watching a sporting event together and talk about that, or a movies. We talk about what happened during the day when we were apart, about things that we need to get done around the house, things we hope to be able to do in the future (vacations, remodeling, new vehicles purchases).
Somtimes we don't talk. We just sit/cuddle with each other.

What we did during the day, about the kids, what's going on in the world, family, etc.
Now on long car trips we normally get into deep discussions about what we want in the future, what we need to do to get there, etc. The last long car ride conversation was about the recent news of tazors being used by police.
Now with my ex we only talked about what we did during the day and that was it. It was very boring and not intellectually stimulating.

Well today, my partner and I discussed my realization that my father is actually going to die and general family things related to that. I mean, logically I knew he would one day, but it never really hit until just recently. We discussed this on the walk to the grocery store. A lot of the time though, it's just mundane day to day talk and there's nothing wrong with that. I really appreciate having someone.

Mostly about what the children need or thier schedule, what our hopes and dreams are, how the day went, how much we want to get together (alone), parents, friends, whatever comes to mind. Even nothing at all just as we were when still dating.

We talk about everything. Where to go for dinner, what to have for dinner, when we will be home at night and what plans we have for the day are just a few regulars.

Politics, world affairs, philosophy, religion, sex, the kids, work, the dog, ethics, what needs to be done on the house, what you want to do to the house, what music, book, movie you just listened to, read, saw or want to listen to, read or see..........you know there should have been a friendship before you got married. What did you talk about then?

My husband and I work at the same place so we talk about work, or people at work. Sex, movies, video games (on occasion), cooking, working out, getting our own place, family, ...well you get the point. We talk alot, about alot of stuff. We have a great relationship. Marriage is awesome! I couldn't be happier!
