How to properly drain and refill a 21 ft above ground pool ?

Water sample shows large amounts of fecies in pool..thanks to a feud with the neighbors... was told we have to drain the pool. Pool is about 4 months old, and I am worried about the liner shrinking up or the walls collapsing. What is the proper way to do this?

pull the plug out
then once empty put plug back in

fill up pool

I would not completely drain it, for the reasons you sited. Remove any solids and use chemicals to sanitize the water. You may need to over-chlorinate it, but thats better than draining it.
