Sabine Dardenne is the girl you are thinking of!
She has written a book, and it is very interesting! She was kidnapped at the age of 12 by a serial killer, Marc Dutroux, and escaped when she was 17!
It sadly looks like wee Madeleine is dead, with all the forensics etc.
I for one hope and pray that I'm wrong, and that she is alive!
Just read the other answers! Why do some people answer these questions with insults!
Maybe it's for the 2 points? Lol

I don't know what I think. I hope and pray she is alive and unharmed. Whatever happened to her, I am glad the Portuguese police arrested all those computer perverts. I just hope all the publicity attached to this case means that there is a real crackdown on paedophile rings all over the world, and hopefully, if there is enough will, this evil practice will be wiped out off the face of the earth.

I don't know, I sometimes kind of hope she's dead, and didn't suffer. I'd rather that than her be alive in the hands of a paedophile. Sounds harsh, but I recently read a book by Sabine Dardene, a french girl held hostage by a sex attacker from the age of 11 to about 17. She was totally screwed up, I can't see her every being truly happy.

I probable could, different than that our justice gadget does not constantly produce the ideal verdict. there became into as quickly as a guy jailed for 14 years right here in uk for a intense sexual crime he did no longer commit. His mom campaigned tirelessly for an attraction, at which it became into finally proved previous doubt that it became into no longer him - and the info were accessible on the time of his trial yet became into no longer used in his defence then. His call became into some thing like Stephen Koszco. With a loss of life penalty, he could have been ineffective till now the call became into overturned. because it became into, the unfavorable guy more advantageous a psychological ailment in penitentiary and died interior 2 years of launch, a broken guy; and that i assume all that became into worse than loss of life - for some thing he did no longer do. playstation nicely carried out, Sarah C. you're a hundred% ideal. and you're ideal to shift the concentration to the needs of victims and potential victims. they might desire to be our important situation, and how appropriate to guard society.

There's always hope until a body is found, but the statistics are against her being found alive now.
I really hope she is still alive, but the vast majority of kids her age who have been missing for so long aren't found safe and well. Poor little Madeleine.

I sadly also believe she is no longer alive but would love to be wrong. Do you remember the name of this girl who escaped? Would love to read the story. Shawn Hornbeck and Elizabeth smart are proof also to never give up hope with no body. They were both found alive.
Found it I think...A girl named Natasha? Amazing story. Stockholm syndrome is quite mysterious and I guess only a person suffering from it can understand.

I don't believe she is alive anymore. I did hope that she was and I did think she was earlier on, but I think if someone didn't murder her early on, then she was killed later once the publicity got so intense and she became "too hot" to keep alive. Poor little mite.

I think Madeleine is still alive.
I think she has been cleverly abducted by an organised paedo / child traffickers.
I don't think they specifically targeted the McCanns before they went to portugal, but actually picked Madeleine out whilst she was in Luz
Realistically, we have to accept the probability that she could be dead.
I continue to believe she is NOT dead as there is no evidence to suggest so. I like to keep a positive attitude for Madeleine's sake and to show support for her family.

I still believe her parents killed her by accident, and that they got rid of the body in utter panic. I wouldn't say they actually deserve a prison sentence when this all comes out. Not with the way the British media would cover the story, if what I believe turns out to be true.

Personally, I sadly think she is dead.
Of course some people do not want to discuss this so why do they bother to read and answer this question. They dont have to.
