The Chairman's Statement usually leads the annual report and gives an overview of what the company has been doing for the past year - its results, its share price, new products launched and whether they were successful, any divisions discontinued or sold off and why, who came on board, new CEO?, etc
When he's done with what happened in the past year, he talks about the prospects - what's in the pipeline, proposed new divisions, new products, how these will be financed, sources of funding, what investors can expect from all this next year, etc.
It always ends with the Chairman thanking everybody.

The Chairman's Statement is set forth in a publicly traded corporation's annual report to shareholders. It discusses the company's financial performance during the past year and generally sets forth the company's goals for the coming year.
