her political opponents?
Will the ones who claim that their rights are being violated now by President Bush be as outraged that she will be listening in on Americans that oppose her politically?

Brother, you are more right than you know!!!

In the book, "Her Way: The Hopes and Ambitions of Hillary Rodham Clinton" by Jeff Gerth and Don Van Natta Jr, the authors claim that Hillary purchased a high tech scanner to eavesdrop on cellular telephone conversations of her opponents and people she suspected of disloyalty.

It appears their proof is legitimate. I intend to research this further.

What is shocking is how some people seem to think that someone in the Bush government is listening in on our phone conversations, hoping to hear something incriminating about terrorism. The truth is, the phone calls are routed through an extremely advanced computer system that looks for phone call patterns that might indicate terrorist activity. Let me repeat: it looks for phone call PATTERNS. Example: someone in New Jersey keeps calling the number of a suspected terrorist in Pakistan, or the reverse. It's actually a lot more complicated than this, but what is amazing is how useful the data is. It really pinpoints potential terrorist activity.

However, in the case of Hillary, I can imagine her actually listening to people's phone conversations. I'm sure that, if she ever attained the White House, she'd be more paranoid than Nixon.

Hillary is one of those people who sees everyone as an enemy. Maybe because she's so good at making them.

...If Hillary is elected, truth will become an endangered species, since she and Mr. Clinton are accomplished liars.
...She will use many things to rid herself of political opponents. During the 1st term of Bill Clinton, (if anyone remembers the White House Travel Office fiasco), Mr. Clinton and Miss Rodham did their best to convict Billy Dale of embezzling funds. A court acquitted the Dales quickly (I think 20 minutes) and the Dales spent their all the money they had defending themselves. And guess what, Congress appropriated tax money (taxpayers' money, our money) to repay the Dales, when really it was the Clintons who should have repaid the Dales from their money.
...I believe it will be consistent lies and corruption all over again, but to a greater degree, if Ms. Hillary is elected. What may save this nation during her possible administration is that in recent years Congress cannot agree on much of anything, so very little gets done, but many things the President wants are blocked, and the Presidential veto prevents many things.

Hopefully she would know better than to do something like that. Of coarse, this is the same family whos leader cheated on his wife presumably with multiple women WHILE in office and supposed to be serving and leading the American people.

She would end up as a dictator here. The sheeple do not know how powerful she already is. Backed by socialist China, George Soros, and media.org. And how many others?
I think many will be in for a rude awakening. I am beginning to think she has already been bought and paid for by those who want to overtake the government and our lives.

yes, i would be. I did not grow up in a police state. We are a nation of laws not people? I believe in the US Constitution. at times it seems frail. at times it seems solid. Steel when heated tends to melt but will one day return strong again.

I love this country.

Isn't that exactly why we don't want to give this power to the president? Wasn't it a Republican president who last used this power to spy on domestic enemies? Read the history of the wiretap statute and why it was enacted.

EDIT for your additional comments: Yes, I believe she will if we do not stop her. If we do not exercise our rights granted by the constitution they will be taken away.
