One line in the song is, "Everything is Satisfactual."

That's me, and that's the kind of day yesterday was. Bob's home and I got some "best answers" and a violation notice.

All's right with the world. I was told not to explain myself, but I did anyway, and, lo and behold, Isotope was right. Again. Still. As usual.

But who cares? I've got my hubby back, and "It's the truth, it's actual, everything is satisfactual."

R T -- I've heard it's not banned in other countries. I believe some found it too "stereotypical." I found it delightful. You know that's so, if I can still remember it!

I remember this movie as a child and I adored Uncle Remus as well.

I think it was banned because it was considered racially incorrect. And, truly, if you look back at some of the situations, it was, we just did not recognize it because we were young. Unfortunately, that was the way things were in the south then. Perhaps Disney was actually trying to create peace and harmony with this movie.

Either way, Just wanted to tell you I like your avatar. Your face does not match what I imagined you as. You are someone I could feel very close to. Thanks for the interesting concept.

I'm happy for you that your hubby is home . You're a real person! Like Dragons' avatar too. Glad to see Lady G back. This was one of my fav movies when I was a young'un . The flowers, the butterflies, the bluebird ,the music and I loved Uncle Remus when I was little and didn't think for a minute that he was a slave back then. He was just Uncle Remus and I was sorry to see it banned. My mom always read the brer rabbit books to us and I guess that's where I got my love for books.

I don't remember seeing the movie, but remember the Uncle Remus books. I do remember the song and I'm glad things are 'satisfactual' for you and hubby's home. Yeah!

Loved that movie and that song. It would seem that the movie was released before all this political correctness became such a big thing.

I'm glad you're having such a satisfactual day. Life can be good.

Brer Rabbit and Brer Fox said something about it having to do with the "kerblam !" tar baby. I truly think it had to do with Brer Bear losin' a piece of tail.

.....wonderful feelin, wonderful day.

It was a great movie, I wish people would grow up. It was banned because it shows a stereotypical "happy slave" and thus, excuses slavery. I thought it was a story about a man who had a wonderful, happy viewpoint on life.

Don't remember seeing it when I was younger, but a friend recently got her hands on an "illegal" copy and let me borrow it. Those who deemed it stereotypical seemed to have missed the point and heart of the story. Just my thoughts.

You just keep on singing Satisfactual and enjoy having your husband back home where he belongs! I wish him well in his recovery.
