do you have dial up,DSL or cable??that needs to be know!!
but go to www.tune-up.com and down load that program,it is free for 30 days, make sure you run all the programs 2 or 3 times for it to clean and 'fix' problems, that may help you,or may not!but first off if you are connected thru a 'phone' company line you need to make sure the line is in good shape(dial up or DSL)complain enough and they will have to check it,if not report it to your state public service commision, that will get them moving!!they have to give you the SPEED you are paying for,it is the law

Also, open up your PC and see what RAM you have (or look up the model of your motherboard to find out what RAM it is compatible with). An extra 1GB of RAM is pretty cheap and will give a big speed boost.
