sad and lonely,a waste of life,drugs do that to you,i guess ,they were a great band and he was a good frontman but looking back at all the old footage,he always looked out of his face,its a wonder he managed to get on the stage in the 1st place,too much too soon,sad.

His death was under verrry strange circumstances, only 2people saw the body?!Some mysterious doctor and his girlfriend who also happened to die a year later!!And Hendrix, adn Janis Joplin all around the same time?!and 27?hmm!!
Maybe they're all off on an island somewhere lappin up the royalties!!hahaha

Probably not though, this mysterious doctor put it down as heart failure...It'll never be known!!(unlessss...!)

Well, I read he used to say he'd fake his death,move to Africa and use the pseudoname 'Mr Mojo Risin' (anagram of Jim Morrison - brilliant!),and send a postcard to one of the other members!Didn't happen though!then again, might have and we just don't know!!

Jim Morrisson died from using Pam's heroin. Jim wasnt a heroin user, he probably didnt even know how much would be a 'safe' dose. The night club owner who is claiming Jim died in his club 30 years after the event is just trying to make some cash in his old age.

Jim Morrison, the lead singer of American rock group The Doors has died in Paris aged 27.
He was found in a bathtub at his apartment at 17 Rue Beautraillis by his girlfriend, Pamela Courson.

A doctor's report stated the cause of death was heart failure aggravated by heavy drinking.

The rest of the band - keyboardist Ray Manzarek, guitarist Robbie Krieger and drummer John Densmore - are currently in the United States.

Morrison, also known as the Lizard King, was born in Florida in 1943, his father Stephen was in the US Navy and rose to the rank of admiral.

He formed The Doors with Ray Manzarek in 1965 in Los Angeles.

Morrison had come up with the name after reading Aldous Huxley's account of drug experiences, The Doors Of Perception.

The group became the first popular "new wave" band. Their first album, The Doors, released by Elektra Records in 1967, was a number one hit in the US, though only just scraped into the British charts.

Their following albums, Strange Days and Waiting For The Sun, provided further American hits and, in Hello I love You, a British number 15.

Nah seriously : He died on July 3, 1971, at age 27, and, in one account of his death, was found in the rue Beautreillis apartment bathtub by Courson. Pursuant to French law, no autopsy was performed because the medical examiner claimed to have found no evidence of foul play. The absence of an official autopsy has left many questions regarding Morrison's cause of death.

In Wonderland Avenue, Danny Sugerman discussed his encounter with Courson after she returned to the United States. According to his account, Courson stated that Morrison had died of a heroin overdose. Courson said that Morrison inhaled the substance because he thought it was cocaine. Sugerman added that Courson had given numerous contradictory versions of Morrison's death, at times saying that she had killed Jim, or that his death was her fault. The majority of fans seem to have accepted the mistaken heroin overdose account. Courson herself died of a heroin overdose three years later. Like Morrison, she was 27 years old at the time of her death.

In a July 2007 newspaper interview, a self described close friend of Morrison's, Sam Bernett, announced that Morrison actually died of a heroin overdose in the bathroom of the Rock 'n' Roll Circus nightclub, on the Left Bank in Paris. Bernett stated that Morrison had snorted heroin and was found with foam and blood coming out of his mouth with his head and arms hanging down by his legs, sitting on the toilet a la Elvis. Bernett says that a doctor, who was among the patrons at the club that night, determined that Morrison had died, but other patrons disagreed and insisted that he was still alive, only unconscious. Morrison was then allegedly moved back to the rue Beautreillis apartment and dumped in the bathtub by the same two drug-dealers from whom Morrison had purchased the heroin. Bernett says those who saw Morrison that night were sworn to secrecy, in order to prevent a scandal for the famous club, and some of the witnesses immediately left the country. Bernett has authored a book entitled The End: Jim Morrison, in which these claims are discussed in more detail. This is just the latest of many conspiracies surrounding the death of Morrison.

While there are many conspiracy theories concerning Morrison's death, the official version is widely accepted as the most likely.

In a new book reviling his new death it's been said that he died in a club of an overdose of cocaine. He was found in the bathroom by the owner of the club and was taken to his hotel room where he was put in a bath tub full of cold water to see if he reacted but it was to late.

i placed this question a few months ago on here
He was found dead in the toilet of the club where he was performing,he had over dosed because they did not want him found dead there he was moved to the apartment he shared with his girlfriend and placed in the bathtub and not reported for some time after it had just been released recently in the press the correct info of this when i asked the question on here

Like many of the great rocks stars who have died. From excess bought on from the lack of confidence to go with their genius. His music lives on though.
