Do you seriously think Dems only buy American? How about all the stock they own in foreign companies? It would be pretty difficult to buy a television made with only American parts, let alone any other technology related product.
Face it, these are just politicians that are going to tell you whatever they think you want to hear so that they can get elected.
Buying American does help save American jobs, but companies move out of America to save money on taxes/labor costs.. It is the Democrats that want to tax them even more.

If you're concerned about it that much, heat with electricity. Btu for btu it is as cheap as oil, maybe even cheaper since the rape of the oil user started.
Also consider what "buying American" means. Do you want a Ford truck made in Mexico or a Toyota made in Kentucky?

Buy American because it will help your country and the Americans as a whole. Do not mix politics with your personal life because you will be on the losing end.

You must live in the northeast. Most of the rest of the country uses natural gas to heat their homes.
Be prepared. I heard it will cost a considerable amount more to heat your house this year over last year.

Here's a solution -- chop some good ol' American wood and start a fire in your fireplace. That way, you won't run afoul of imaginary Democrats and you won't be supporting the harems of Saudi Sheiks, or the terrorist activities of their cousins.

Screw oil, go solar. While oil is finite and will eventually disappear forever, the sun will last way beyond your lifetime.

American oil fields can't keep up with the demand because of environmental mentals.
You could also buy a bio diesel reactor and make your own fuel.

Don't worry about buying your oil from a terrorist sponsoring nation. Haliburton and Blackwater will protect you.
