No. I'm sure due to religious beliefs many people are very open to the idea of past lives, and the idea does have a nostalgic, even romantic tinge to it. The idea of being reborn and having past lives might seem to give more meaning to our lives, like an over-arching theme that we must discover in order to better ourselves and gain more "insight" into however we perceive the universe. I can see why people might want to believe in past lives. But I personally don't.

I was born in 1972. Many people my age were fascinated with the 60s. I noticed people about your age had a fascination with the 70s. I see young kids today sporting some of the same trends that were popular in the 80s (which I do remember). There needn't be anything spiritual about this. I just see it as reconciling your life with the spectrum of events that took place right before you were born.
I am fascinated by the 20s. If I could travel in time I would go back to that time period. That doesn't mean I had a past life in the 20s, it just means that time period interested me.
By the way, there is no reason at all to think you've had a past life. The mechanics of reincarnation have never been explained in a way that uses real terms. It's always some "oh, wow" New Age psychobabble talking about energy and spirits and such.

Yeah i really do. I feel the same as you about the Elizabethan era. When i read a book about it or anything I get deja vu as if Ive experienced something before. Sometimes I feel like Ive been born in the wrong time and should have been born then, but I think its definately possible that I lived then in a past life. For some weird reason I feel like I lived in England then, and was a courtier for the royal family, but a rebel one who married against the wishes of her family bla bla. Maybe thats just what i like to imagine but I dont think ur crazy :) Oh, and Im not religious so it doesnt have anything to do with that.

I had an interesting experience in this regard. I was chatting with a woman in a bar (I was in a band at the time, we were on a break between sets), and she claimed she had been a princess in a past life. I asked "Why is it that everyone who claims to remember a past life was always a big shot? don't grunts get reincarnated?" She replied that in ANOTHER past life she had been a potato farmer in 14th Century France. This amazed me, since the potato was not introduced to Europe until the 16th century. So I tend to be sceptical.

Yes I get that feeling too, past life's that is. I lived in the sixty's in this life. Some times my past life comes through and it is real weird. I think I was killed in a war in my last life, its really creepy when I get around canons and tanks from WWII.

No I am sure that I would never know anything before what I can remember in history. The farthest back that I can remember is 1994.

Well since I don't believe people are spirits in bodies but that people have a psychic connection with a demon call a doppelganger. Demons can reincarnate and impersonate the people they possess. Any tendancy I have may be one someone else had and it's being influenced on me by my inner demon.

I know I have, I get a very strong feeling I've had around 3 previous lives. But I couldn't tell why I think that. And no, I don't think your nuts. :)
