The plural of deer is deer. You can harvest one deer or many deer.

Most states allow an individual to harvest from 2 to 4 white-tailed deer each season. But, be sure to obey harvest laws in your area. Never kill more than you need. Also, if you are so inclined, check to see if donated venison is allowed in your state.

In Wisconsin you can get one with bow and arrow. One with a gun and one with a black powder gun.But in some areas you are allowed to buy more tags,so you can get many more. Also in some areas you have to "earn a buck".That means you have to get a doe first, then you can get a buck. There are many rules depending where you are in the state and the deer population. To all the anti hunters...The state deer population is at a near all time high. I cant remember the amount of deer/car collisions but it goes into the millions of dollars every year. Also there are many human deaths from deer going thru the wind shields, people losing control of there cars etc. Also thousands of pounds of venison[deer meat] are donated to food panties in the state. One more thing to consider is the amount of harvest lost to the farmers.Deer eat the hay in the fields and destroy alot of corn. Some farmers get tags to shoot ten to fifty [or more] deer on there land due to crop lose from the deer. The DNR is raising limits to try to control the deer population in the state. But they are failing, partly due to the warmer winters and little snow cover of the past five years.

It depends. each year they evaluate the buck to doe population and the amount of dear there are. They adjust the hunting to keep these numbers in line. This is done based on the region. They will give you tags. the tags identify what you can kill. If you are given 1 doe tag and two buck tags then you can kill only one doe and two bucks.

So the numbers can change from year to year.

if you're a bow hunter, you can kill one doe and one buck...if you hunt with a gun, you are allowed one buck...but you can also hunt elk...of course, you need to buy the tag first before hunting any of them...
