Yes. The pollution is a problem that should be repaired by those that create it. The expense isn't just an unfair taxation upon Louisiana and Mississippi, but it is killing the Gulf of Mexico.

Fact is that we don't need to sue. We can do things legally and without any response from any northern state. All we need to do is simply put a tariff on everything leaving the state. We eliminate income tax and greatly reduce the business tax, and then you have an environment that businesses want to locate to.,which means those businesses are producing something that is leaving the state, say oil and gas. We simply put a tariff on that product and we will generate huge sums of money. We would also eliminate all tax on products coming into this state.

Remember this, 30% of all oil and gass come through the port of New Orleans, and 60% of all other goods for the midwest come here as well. Think about it that way. We don't need to sue. We take the liberal way and tax!!!

well considering louisiana releases more pollution into the Mississippi River than any other state. so i can't see why they could sue others for doing what they do. Also micheal's idea of placing a tariff on exports leaving the state is unconstitutional, because interstate trade is under the jurisdiction of the federal not the state gov.t. also i do not believe an export tax is constitutional.

If you make the other states pay for the problems they created it would clean up the river the fastest.
