If the government are going the way I think they are with the latest report on obesity and start forcing companies to release only low fat foods what will happen to the rest of us that aren't fat? I'm really underweight and find it hard to find things with decent amounts of calories which are healthy anymore.

Well done Sherilynne. No more full fat milk or real cheese due to all the people who keep eating burgers and those weird processed meats and potato things. The government will cancel all the real foods and the junk foods will be left alone.

sheesh everybody missed the point of the question! Those of us who do not need to lose weight are going to be denied our favorite foods because of the fatties and the rule to protect them from themselves! Why should we suffer because of their lack of self control? I definitely do NOT need suggestions on diet from them, I ALREADY KNOW more about diet and nutrition than they do. I just want to be able to have the foods I want without being deprived just because others don't care about how they look or feel.

I am a vegetarian and I also have a sugar allergy, so I am pretty slim and the medical know alls have had a go at me. They will be saying we are costing the NHS money next. I don't want a government telling me what I can and can't eat, they would be better dishing out some will power to obese people.

Going along with what people have said above, if you do need to gain weight for health reasons you can get loads of advice from an NHS dietician.
If you're eating fresh foods (with plenty of good carbs i.e. brown breads, sweet potatoes etc), as opposed to snacks and ready meals, you should be able to achieve/maintain a healthy weight.
Perhaps consider building muscle i.e. using weights, if you're after a more athletic (as opposed to slim) image.

Guess we'll be next on the list after the fatties, I'm like you I can eat and drink without putting on weight, always been healthy and recently passed my body MOT I can't imagine that will be allowed for much longer. Better prepare yourself for an ASBO!

Go to the doc and get prescribed ultra nutritious and crammed packed calory drinks - usually on the NHS for people who need building up and who are under weight.
If one eats fresh meat and veg - one does not need to eat ready made low fat dinners.

I know me too. I'm naturally slim and find it really hard to gain weight, so I hope we can still get hold of those high carb foods.
