I've done the TPS thing about 2 months ago but it's got worse if anything. If I scream or blow a trumpet into the phone will there be much chance of being sued? I know they are calling from Bangledesh or somewhere but usually at the behest of a British company.

that infuriates me as well- yeah right..their name is mary smith- HAH! when I first hear them I just speak plainly and in a clear voice state "I can not understand you. Please remove me from your calling list. Have a nice day" no matter what they keep going on about, I just ignore them, say those three sentences and then I hang up.

Go to the web and type in "national do not call list" This will help and it's good for 5 years. Just hang up when they call or if you feel like having fun, when they ask "How are you today" give them an ear full.

Best thing to do is to find out what company they are calling for, then call that company 200 times a day in a fake Bangladesh accent and spew all sorts of nonsensical gibberish. Then they will learn what it is like.
Beat them at their own game.
