A good, old-fashioned spy thriller with gritty realism as M.I.5 officers deal with impossible decisions, treacherous politicians, terrorists, bombs, germ warfare, foreign agents and even M.I.6!

In television schedules clogged with mindless tripe (soaps, gardening, cookery, "reality" TV excrement, etc., etc.) I think it's good to sit down and immerse oneself in this good old-fashioned, fast-moving entertainment! What do other people think?

i have loved Spooks from the first eppy and last night's was totally brilliant. Although i do hate the new format aka we'll keep you guessing till the end. I sat there last night mesmerised as the first two eppy's unfolded (thank god for BBC3) glad that we dont have the angst of Adam's fallout from Fiona any more - but am worried about Zaf (who is in my mind a better character than Adam - less snot ridden and weepy) Harry as always was worth the admission fee and Gemma Jones will be an asset to the team (older Ruth anyone) But will someone please step up Malcolm? He so needs a bigger role after Colins demise :-)

It was brilliant - fast paced, edgy and had me on the edge of my seat , ok, ok the edge of the bed - it was so good I had to wait to see next weeks on BBC3 - FAN BLOODY TASTIC is all i can say - Hooray for the BBC - it's almost worth the licence fee just for Spooks - and Ruperts bum looked lovely too x
