There is a price to pay for everything in life, whether it be pain or pleasure, and they both co-exist side by side.
A pleasurable experience can be painful when it comes to an end, as much as a painful experience turns into a pleasure once it is over.
The price we pay for either pain or pleasure is the effect it has on our emotions and well being.
The cumulative effect of too much psychic pain can leave us with feelings of annhialation, whereas too much pleasure and the euphoric effect can lead us into a sense of unrealness and ultimately could become harmful as we live outside of reality.
The correalation of human emotions is a minefield, and as such we should all have an element of our own boundaries, and what feels comfortable with us!
Just remember the polarities !

I think in most cases pleasure comes first. Go skiing fall break a leg. You were having fun skiing but the leg hurts later. Fall in love get married get pregnant have a baby it hurts one great night of pleasure a few hours of pain and a lifetime of pleasure with your child. We have both so we know how to enjoy the good times and not take them for granted.

Pleasure before pain or as my mother always used to say to us children " Too much laughing always comes to crying". She was right I see it happening all the time with my own children!
We must have both or we wouldnt know how good the good was. If everything was pleasurable then we wouldnt know it if we didnt have pain to compare it to
