funny how that works but yes...i do tend to feel lonely even with a room full of people and yet ,i can feel very comfortable in a room only with the four walls as my company.i believe that it has got to do with you being a stranger in one room and at home in another with just your heart filled with all the love of your treasured loved ones... = )

I never feel 'lonely' because I love people, and have no problem talking to anyone. Here's the big 'but' though, and the reason I decided to respond. Sometimes I feel restless inside because I somehow feel I should be talking more, or that I am somehow responsible for keeping conversation going, and I have a real hard time just being quiet when others are around me. Weird huh?

Well it depends in your mood and the other people's mood inside the room sometimes I also fell like being lonely in a room full of people since it's like they never see you. But if you want to know how to handle this you just need to develop your personality and relationship with other people.

It has happen when I was younger, I have no idea why I was so shy. Since I've become older, Maybe I've learned more, the war, gaining more experience, whatever the reasons, I'm completely different now.
I've become flatterer's, forward and can open a conversation on anything and start speaking.

YES! if you are around a lot of people but you aren't connecting with them, it can feel very isolating and very lonely. try to find some friends with common interests with yours. that way you can be a part of the group and not feel so alone. unless you like feeling that way that is...i know some people who are natural loners and prefer to be left that way.

...I feel lonely because I'm not good socializing in a room full of people...I do better with just a few...when there's too many people, I tend to withdraw

I used to, but not anymore. I went through a wonderous transfomation a few years back that changed so many things in my life for the better. I wish love and luck to all who still struggle with this problem. --MissDelanne
