The baby cries
The tap is dripping
The doorbell rings

The theory is that the phone represents business and outside communication, the baby represents family, the tap represents money or the lack of it and the doorbell represents friends and socialising. Whichever you put first is the thing of greatest importance to you!

I do feel it all depends on circumstances..

Although acting on instinct many would put baby first
but under certain circumstances where you may have only just put Baby down for a nap and know it will but cry for undivided attention then you would in this instance put baby further down the line..

Again the phone rings .. hmm maybe its just another one of those many marketing or Crank Calls you always seem to get at this time off the day and know you are fed up with these guys trying to sell you something or just another nuisance call.. hmm well then again it could well be a customer, your descition here would depend on your judgement and experiance of the circumstances..

And then we have the door bell... ok this I suppose could be assesed quite quickly by checking the door.. if a frend it is then I would prob just open the door and shout out a greeting in passing for them to enter... as i move towards maybe answering the phone.. or you never know it could well be another one off those People tryin to sell you religion yet again... and also if you where running a business from home then 99% off the time you would know if it was a customer or delivery for you because you would be expecting them.. and again circumstances do prevail..

And offcourse last but not least the Dripping Tap... what a pain when our Tap does drip and we just cant find the time to turn the water off and change a little rubber ring which costs next to nothing.. or maybe we just cant afford to sort it out as we have not the knowledge or the know how..
well I suppose We would prob put this one down the line towards the bottom..

Ther we are .. many times an answer we give would be and could be based on instinct or a quick reaction without putting much thought into it and could well be as missleading as The Question asked...
but if there was a way to know all the circumstances only then could we give a Truthfull Answer..
so we can but learn to Tread with care when we open our Hearts and give Answers to those who can but ask a Question in the best way they can ... for the answer can sometime harm more than do good.. so all i can add is be wise with your answers as best you can because you dont reely know all the circumstances of the person who is at the end off the question...

Love Always

I think the priority should be like this:
1. baby
2. doorbell
3. phone
4. tap

This is because, I believe human beings should be given the first priority! and in that too babies the most. The doorbell next since some person might be waiting your attention, I give this more priority than phone because this is a person waiting for you, whereas the phone in most cases is not that demanding. Attending the phone call, you might want to look into the tap dripping, as you can handle both simultaneously!! However, I assume the cases that happen with highest probability, because there can always be exceptions.

It would have to be:
1 Baby cries
2 Phone rings
3 Doorbell rings
4 tap dripping.

Good question! :-)

Answer the phone while answering the door. The tap can wait and you don't need to be long at the door before seeing the baby.

Pick up the baby, answer the door, shut off the tap and check the caller ID and call them back. The child is the most important!
