I would put in the old CPU and flash your BIOS first before using he new cpu because generally, newer CPUs arent recognized by the motherboard until you flash the BIOS. (basically updating the BIOS)

Look on albacore's website for your motherboard model, usually they have the newer BIOS and flashing tools on there as well.

oh yeah, you also need to make your computer supports the newer CPU (i'm assuming you did since you bought it already). If the motherboard doesn't support the newer cpu flashing it won't do no good, you'll have to get a motherboard that does.
Good luck

Intel and AMD are the two greater useful in diverse techniques. AMD seems to be the greater low-value determination for twin center CPU's and it appears that evidently AMD is greater useful for gaming. I even have build my workstation with an AMD athlon sixty 4 3500+ X2 skt AM2 and it works nicely for me... purely relies upon what you like.. even though it relatively is one in each of AMD's greater useful proccessors.

Try resetting CMOS then load fail safe defaults. Reseat processor fan to its connector. Be sure 4 pin 12V ATX power connector is properly plugged in also.

The mobo should support it.

Make sure everything is seated correctly.
