Yes but you will need ID like drivers licence or passport. There is no limit on the money you can take out in one day if it is in a cheque but I think it is 12 grand in cash. I was in the Halifax yesterday and asked about withdrawing cash.

phone em to double check what notice you need to give. normally you can take so much out per day at the counter, but the limit depends on the account you have.

if all else fails, ask for a bankers draft, this is as good as cash as its guaranteed by the bank, they will charge a small fee for it. Check with ya new landlord first if he will accept it.

best phoning them some banks have £500 limits, some don't have any at all. Also, some banks require ID for withdrawals over £1k too like a passprt or driving licence....just to save you making 2 trips that's all

Mines blue, debit card I take it you mean. It's got the halifax logo on it and has a light and dark shade of blue on.

You should be ok. You will have to go to the business banking counter and they will ask for ID such as a passport or photo driving licence as a safety precaution.

call or go in and speak to them- sometimes they will give it to you it depends on how big the branch is. Normally you need to give them a day's notice, but some cashiers are more helpful than others...

You will have to order this amout of money . Go to, or, phone your branch and tell them that you would like to withdraw this amount. They will order it in for you and let you know when you can go in and withdraw it. Usually takes 3 days.

I think £250 per day is the limit - sorry. They will give you a cheque, but that isn't going to help you.
