I normally have a normal 28 day cycle for my period and it usualyl lasts 4 to 5 days. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for the past 2 months, but so far nothing has happend. When i started my period on my usual day this month i thought it was just another let down, but it only lasted 2 days. (from the 12th to the 14th) then i started again midday on the 15th and ended that night. and yet again i started again midday on the 16th or so i thought but it was just a little release and it stopped within that hour. All of these times were really light bleeding. I've heard you can be pregnant and still have your period but i took a pregnacy test and it was negative? A friend told me that when having a period during pregnancy it could mean i release the pregnacy hormone with the period, which would leave nothign for the pregnacy test to catch. Any answers? Do i still have hope?

Yes you could be. Especially since it wasn't a normal period for you. I would go to the Drs to get a pregnancy test done!! Good luck and if you are not pregnant now, I hope you get pregnant soon!!!

There is still a chance you are pregnant, Also your friend is wrong because the HCG hormone is produced by the baby so even if you did have a period and you are pregnant it would still show on a home pregnancy test because you have the baby inside attached to the wombe. Without that hormone the baby wouldnt survive, so you can test in the morning and you should get an accurate result cause you have had your period. Women can bleed for the first few months during their pregnancy!

Best of luck, dont forget to test you never know!! Fingers crossed for you and your hubby!!

yes you can get your period and be pregnant and it usually is different. Now a few things could have happened your period could just have changed for any number of reasons. Or you could have (sorry to say this) had a misscarriage. It is not uncommon for people to miscarry and never even know they were pregnant because it was just a late period or for various other reasons. But it sounds like a negative pregnancy test is probably accurate, but if you are unsure wait a few more days and take another one. 2 months is not long to be trying it took me and my husband 14 months of trying before i finally concieved. And at that point i was so upset that i said im done trying for now and bam i got preggo. the odds of you getting pregnant are less then 10% a month so please dont be disappointed if it takes several more months.

The best thing to do is to go to the doctor and have a blood test done. You can have a period while you are pregnant but with a negative too...well I don't know just go to the doctor.

well, there could be a possibility you had a miscarriage. try to go to the doctor and find out what really happened. Situations like these, you have to see your gynecologist. Just dont take things sitting down and be cautious, if there are any doubts in you.. see your doctor right away and dont wait. good luck
