Quality not quantity counts for me. If I get two or three good answers I'm happy.

The number of answers is irrelevant. Your question is successful when you receive the first correct answer.
Simple example:
Q. What color is the sky?
The first person who says "Blue" has answered the question correctly and obviates the need to leave the question up any longer. Give the person a 'best answer' rating and move on to a new question, or answer some yourself.

I only asked one question and got 2 answers. That was not successful but I have no idea. depends on what your purpose was when you asked it. To get a bunch of random answers or to discover the truth. It is out there

At least 2 would be nice for me then I know that there are more than 1 person who read my question.

1 is successful........however I always hope for at least 5 so I can have a bigger variety to choose a best answer.

10 is a nice round number. I guess it shows to me that at least that many people read the question.
