Either you know your stuff about programming or you don't.
What you should be prepared for are the other questions, like:
- What are your goals?
- What motivates you?
- What are your strengths?
- What are your weaknesses?
- Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
You need to be sharp, look eager and enthusiastic and be professional in the interview.

When I did it we did these.....
1) go to a commands directory on the path, list the files, tell me what they do (knowing 10% of them is a good score)
2) from that directory tell me which of those files are editable (use of the "files" command)
3) tell me what the IP of this machine is, the subnet mask of it, the router address, and the hostname
4) tell me what mail program is processing mail on this server and where its config files are
5) tell me what backup systems are being used on this machine
6) tell me what security systems are running on this machine
These arent questions where a person is expected to know the answer. And in fact there is no single "answer" or way to do it. There are a hundred ways to do them. What we do is toss out anyone who just says "I dont know" and we watch the others to see how much they fumble around to find the answers. Admining isnt "knowing" the answers as much as it is knowning how to find the answers.
Side note: actual the big giggle was that test number zero was "send us your resume as an ascii file attached to an email". You would be surprised at how many impressive resumes failed that.

When I interview someone I ask the obvious, and then I ask things based upon what I hear (or don't hear) in the initial responses. I also ask people to go to the computer and demonstrate their skills with specific assignments that I write up before hand. There are no fixed questions.
